With everything that's happening and the future unclear we're trying to figure out what works best for you guys. What combination of information, fun and distraction makes sense and is appropriate? Any feedback you have is welcome. Just place a comment on any of the blog articles that we link to here! We read each and every one of them. Or if you want to share a story of your own, please let us know! Use the 'Share it with us' link of the 'User pic of the week' section at the end.

So, in this issue of Moto Intel Report a mix of Corona and non-Corona news, starting with an update on 'Are we riding more or less', where I analyse Scenic data to see how countries differ in their riding behaviour nowadays. Tom gives us a glimpse on the inevitable motorcycle sales drop and has a cure for the quarantine blues. Jasper brings homage to a motorcycle riding Bond girl who passed away recently. We have a very adventures Dutchman riding to the North Pole on a sport bike, two virtually presented motorcycles and this time not a pic of the week, but pics of the week.

The first two months of 2020 weren’t that bad for motorcycle salesmen, but all of that changed in March, when the coronavirus panic started to spread from Asia into Europe and the American continent, and what followed... Read more...
What was the name of the most famous female character in Goldfinger? You might know the answer to this question, but you probably don't know who the actrice was, let alone that she was quite bold in real life too. Read more...
I looked at the number of rides that were logged with Scenic over the last few weekends and found some interesting differences between countries. Read more...
This is a story about preparation, about looking forward, about (extreme) adventure riding, and most of all, about making dreams come true. Read more...
If you're suffering from the quarantine blues, have a look at Tom's article. He might just have the cure for us motorcycle riders. OK, maybe not a cure, but at least it's a bandaid to soften the pain. Read more...
Is it just me, or is this a beautiful piece of machinery? This Honda CB-F Concept is based on CB1000R guts, but with a neo classic wink to the old CB900F and CB750F. It reminds me a little bit of the Yamaha XSR900. I found this video which seems to be the only video that's not just a picture slide show. How's your Japanese? ;) Watch video...
Big news this week was the virtual presentation of the BMW R18 cruiser motorcycle. With this motorcycle BMW invades Harley Davidson territory, hoping for a piece of the action. Something they never tried before, right?

The Great Empty

Last week I asked you to share some pics of the empty world if you got the chance. Here are some of the submissions. On the top left is Maarten's Yamaha M1 on the Lekdijk in Netherlands, which is usually one of the more popular roads for motorcyclists and cyclists. Top right is Bobbies K1600GT just before the 'Shelter in Place' order was given in North Carolina. Bottom left is Jim's HD Road King on its first real ride of the spring in Cape Cod. Bottom right is Allan, who was on a dirt bike tour in Bali, Indonesia where usually this volcanic crater would be buzzing with riders but he was the only guest there.

What's your most beautiful / funny / crazy motorcycle pic? Share it with us and it might be featured in the next Moto Intel Report. As many send pictures to us, we can't feature them all, so we dedicated a page on the Scenic Blog with all crazy / funny / beautiful Motorcycle Pics!
